’ and followed that with fan favourites such as ‘Torn’, ‘My Own Prison’, ‘Weathered’ and ‘Faceless Man’. Creed reunited and played their first show in 12 years as part of the “Summer of 99” cruise last night (April 18). The "Summer of '99" Cruise will be held from April in 2024, departing from Miami, Florida for Nassau, Bahamas aboard the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship. Heavy Consequence photojournalist Liz Ramanand is on the Summer of ’99 cruise, and captured photos and video of Creed’s first concert in 12 years. When it was all said and done, the show proved to be a cathartic experience for both the fans and Creed themselves, especially Stapp. The crowd waited 12 years for this moment, and all of that energy was unleashed in every word that was sung back to the band.

CREED's enormous success is largely due to the prolific writing team of Stapp and Tremonti, who founded the band together in 1993. Their winning combination of driving guitar riffs, rousing hooks and introspective lyrics earned them legions of loyal fans around the world. Following the release of their first two albums, the four-piece — which also included bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips — became the first band ever to have seven consecutive No. 1 singles on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. CREED's third album, "Weathered" (2001),also debuted at No. 1, and produced several popular singles, including Top Ten hits "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath".
Week 1: Miami Lineup
CREED's second concert consisted of 17 songs and included the new additions of "Beautiful", "Pity For A Dime" and "Inside Us All", which were not performed two days earlier. The band's lineup of Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips performed two shows during the cruise, which is traveling from Miami to the Bahamas between April 18 and April 22. Presented by Sixthman, the "Summer Of '99" cruise lineup also includes performances by 3 DOORS DOWN, BUCKCHERRY, TONIC, FUEL, VERTICAL HORIZON, THE VERVE PIPE, TANTRIC and NINE DAYS, among others. On April 27, Creed will embark on another cruise titled “Summer of ’99 and Beyond” from Orlando, Florida. That line-up will feature Daughtry as well as the other bands from the previous cruise. The band – comprised of Scott Stapp, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, Mark Tremonti and touring guitarist Eric Friedman – performed a 16-track setlist for the attendees.

In 2019, Tremonti said in an interview on Jamey Jasta's podcast that he was sitting on an album's worth of material for CREED. The performance marked Creed’s first concert since December 2012, when they wrapped up a tour in support of their 2009 album Full Circle, which came after their first reunion following their breakup in 2004. 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Dishwalla, Louise Post (of Veruca Salt) and Nine Days have all been booked for the festival cruise, which is presented by Sixthman. Stapp, whose road to sobriety kicked off in 2014 after issues with drugs and drinking, along with thoughts of suicide, credited his recovery with providing him with the necessary tools to reach new heights with his CREED bandmates. The band’s lineup of Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips will play two shows during the cruise, which will travel from Miami to the Bahamas between Apr. 18-22, 2024.

Though CREED announced its breakup in 2004, the band briefly reunited in 2009 to release "Full Circle". Heavier than their previous albums, "Full Circle" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, proving the incredible staying power of the band. CREED's enormous success is largely due to the prolific writing team of singer Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti, who founded the band together in 1993. Returning diamond-certified alternative metal band Creed have announced a second sailing of their 2024 ‘Summer Of ’99‘ cruise.
Second Cruise Just Announced!
The best-selling band will perform two shows next April as the headliners of a four-night cruise. Stapp took a moment to lead the crowd into a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ in celebration of Tremoni’s 50th birthday. The cruise will be hosted by Sirius XM DJ Eddie Trunk and the AXS TV The Power Hour show crew of Matt Pinfield, Caity Babs, and Josh Bernstein.

Fans who aren’t hitting the high seas with Creed can catch the band on their multi-leg North American reunion tour. A summer outing with support from 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven will be followed by a fall jaunt featuring 3 Doors Down and Mammoth WVH. After setting sail from Miami, the Summer of ’99 cruise will visit Nassau, Bahamas, before returning to Miami on April 22nd. Among the other bands on the cruise are 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, and more.

"Summer Of '99" cruise will also feature an exclusive live Q&A with CREED open to all guests, activities with bands and podcast hosts, panels, autograph sessions, and a very special Y2K Countdown theme party. As if that weren't enough, all guests will receive an autographed commemorative item signed by CREED prior to the event.
"I learned this from Mark [Tremonti, CREED guitarist] the other day in a Guitar World interview that we did together," Scott said. Creed released four albums beginning with 1997’s My Own Prison, and helped define the mega-selling post-grunge rock movement of the late ‘90s. Singles like “One,” “Higher,” “With Arms Wide Open” and “My Sacrifice” crossed over from alternative radio to pop audiences, and with 1999 sophomore album Human Clay, Creed reached a commercial peak — the album has sold 11.7 million copies to date, according to Luminate.
The tour will take in 40 cities across the continent, and they are set to be the band’s first shows in 12 years. Speculation that the multi-platinum rock group was planning a return really heated up when the band updated their social media profile pictures with a new logo earlier this month. A week later, this notion intensified when Creed released a video teaser, which stated, "Let's go back to the summer of '99," and featured a series of photos of the band's members throughout the years, including a new press shot that suggested a comeback was indeed in the works. It's official — Creed have reunited after teasing their comeback earlier this month.
Pre-sale tickets will begin on Oct. 31, followed by a general on-sale starting Nov. 3 at 10AM local time. Sirius XM DJ Eddie Trunk will co-host both cruises alongside the trio from AXS TV's The Power Hour show — Matt Pinfield, Caity Babs and Josh Bernstein. The Summer of '99 and Beyond cruise will be held on the Norwegian Jade cruise ship from April 27-May 1, departing from Port Canaveral in Florida, also venturing to the Bahamas.
Their first live performance since 2012 is set to take place on the high seas on the band's own 2024 cruise festival, dubbed "Summer of '99," which features 3 Doors Down and a number of other era-specific groups for maximum nostalgia. Five days later (April 27th), Creed will embark on the Summer of ’99 and Beyond cruise from Orlando. That lineup will feature Daughtry along with several of the bands from the first cruise. By popular demand, the reunited Creed have announced a second Summer of '99 cruise, dubbed Summer of '99 and Beyond, which will take place just a few days after the first at-sea excursion returns to port.
